“Together is our favourite place to be” Winnie the Pooh
Take a look at our very first shindig. Winnie the Pooh and Piglet took centre stage at the boys first birthday party.
A small party by anyone’s standards but it was the one that woke in me the love for kids parties. The decor was limited to the candy buffet table, but the theme enveloped the whole house. My favourite elements were the cardboard tree, the birthday milestone canvases I designed and the beehive complete with busy bees that I made-thanks Pinterest!
The gingham table cloth and wooden slices carried through the forest picnic feel, you could almost picture Christopher Robin getting ready to relax under the big oak after a picnic with Winnie and Piglet.
We set up a burger and boerie bar to lend a casual air to the occasion. Guests relaxed and enjoyed lunch while the boys fussed and complained as all one-year-olds do at their first birthday party.
I absolutely cannot wait to throw my boys their next birthday party. Parties are such special things, one should always celebrate your birthday with one!
Hope you liked what I put together. Let me know what you think.
